About the event

There are lots of different non-equity funding options available for start-ups who don't want  -- or don't need -- to go the traditional angel/VC/PE route. Debt is an integral part of the business lifecycle and embracing it wisely can be an option for growth and not just a reactive solution. Managed and serviced correctly, ‘good’ debt can provide a cash injection to help your business grow, expand into new markets, invest in new technology, or acquire other enterprises.

Join us as we welcome Susan Elliott, UK Network Senior Manager from the British Business Bank to discuss what your options for fundraising are. Sue is an experienced commercial professional working with British Business Bank stakeholders, intermediaries and delivery partners to help smaller business access finance for growth. Her knowledge and connections in the funding and business support community were gained from co-founding and running her own advisory and consulting business for 10 years, providing strategic advice for scale ups, delivering business accelerator programmes, managing public sector business support contracts and through partnerships with sources of finance for small and mid-sized businesses.
